Friendly front desk, staff nice little breakfast comfortable beds very quiet great location

We booked this hotel while visiting Palo Alto based on positive reviews, expecting a comfortable and well-maintained stay. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. Upon check-in, we were assigned a room in the back of the hotel that appeared not to have been updated in at least 20 years. It was dark, musty, and had a noticeably old smell—completely unacceptable for a property charging $450–$500 per night. I immediately went back to the front desk and spoke with an attendant named Geraldo, who seemed inexperienced and unsure how to properly handle the situation. Fortunately, a manager stepped in and reassigned us to a renovated room on the second floor, which was significantly better and more in line with expectations. However, the overall front desk experience left much to be desired. At checkout, I asked Geraldo to email me a copy of the invoice, which he never sent. Between the poor initial room assignment, lack of professionalism at the front desk, and inconsistent quality, this hotel does not live up to the expectations set by its reviews or pricing. Management should focus on better staff training and ensuring guests are treated appropriately from the moment they arrive.

People over head heavy walking late into the night and early morning

Big size room with kitchen. Courteous staff. Good location.

Very poor amenities. No complimentary water bottles provided. And you are charged for every bottle you take from reception. The room carpet smells. No auto ventilation. There is a wall mounted aircon which makes noise like a rail engine. Very difficult to sleep with. Balconies are not cleaned regularly. Even room is cleaned properly. I had breakfast in morning and came back in evening to see all the breakfast utensils as is. No water available in all buildings. And you are expected to walk to reception every time you need water. Lot of issues. Not going to return

This is a well-run, clean motel at a relatively decent price for the area. My room was quiet and I slept well. The bed was comfortable. There’s a great deli on the property, and the breakfast was fine.

I booked a room with a balcony, but the balcony overlooked a parking lot. If I had known, I probably wouldn’t have paid extra for that option. Some of the hallways also had a really strong perfume smell, but the room was fine.
