Hotel Basalto

Amazing views! Rooftop pool and bar were very inviting. Welcoming and helpful staff. Included breakfast very good

No other restaurants within walking distance. Taxis were easy to procure, but road on which the property was located was very poor

Basalto is a very beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms are well laid out and the views on cliff edge are amazing. The spa was pleasant with the sound of the ocean. The food was fantastic. Giovani was great in helping us learn some Spanish while ordering food. We stayed here for two days and spent time at the rooftop pool and enjoying the views from our room. The only knock on the hotel is all snacks and drinks in the mini fridge are charged back. We were under the impression that at least the waters would be complimentary but it is not. Overall, a very pleasant stay - would highly recommend.

This boutique hotel has a cool vibe off the beaten path in Mexico on the water. I’ve always wanted to stay here because it just seemed so cool and minimal and new and clean. I love modern vibes and anything that’s near the ocean. Parking is underneath.

This place is a gem if you’re looking for a quiet getaway. The rooms and staff, were 10/10, and the views are 11/10. It was nice to have a car as it’s a 10 min drive to Punta de Mita and about 20 to Sayulita. Watching whales jumping each morning during breakfast was pretty amazing as well.
