This was my dream apartment. I could say it was love at first sight. Clean and cozy. Close to the Palermo Palazzo Reale-Orleans train station, there is a grocery store nearby, and it's close to the city center. I really liked it. I will definitely return if I need to stay in Palermo again.

It was difficult to communicate with the host for check-in when I arrived, although I had asked him about the check-in procedure a few times before I arrived in Italy from the USA. He did not ask for my passport information until late at night. After I bought a local SIM card in downtown on the second day, I saw his request. He asked me to go to the B&B immediately to provide my passport info, otherwise, he would throw me out of the building. He ruined my stay in Palermo. There were a lot of bug bites during my two-night stay there.

Very nicely decorated and spacious apartment with great facilities (coffee machine, kettle, toaster, washing machine etc - all in very good condition), great balcony, good location, and very good communication with the host.

Walls in the bedroom are a bit thin, couldn't get air conditioning to work in the livingroom or bedroom. EDITED: the host contacted me after the review was published on my personal phone number to complain about the air conditioning comment in my original review being unfair because we didn't contact him about it at the time. I would expect AC to turn on easily and not require communication with the host (this made little to no impact on the original rating). The apartment is very nice but I don't know if I would trust this host again given his behaviour.

The picture of the location may seem rough and ready, but it was actually in a great location we got a real feel for Palermo and having the space with a washing machine was a game changer
