I booked this hotel for a guest and paid in full by BACS for an extended stay. The hotel did not honour the extension and gave him incorrect information about his booking. They then tried to make out that they were doing him a favour by allowing a late checkout when in reality he was booked and paid to stay. When I called to resolve it, the staff member denied the incident completely despite admitting he was not present at the time. Shortly afterwards the manager called me personally, shouting aggressively and speaking in a threatening, rude and unprofessional tone. It is clear that the staff have learnt from the manager’s example as the same dismissive attitude was shown throughout. There are also no “Do Not Disturb” signs, so if you need to rest during the day you will not be able to. The hotel has no soundproofing, and because of the wooden floors, the cleaner hoovering is extremely loud and disruptive. After reading other reviews, it is clear this is not an isolated issue, with other guests describing the same pattern of denial and poor conduct. Completely unacceptable experience. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
