Finca El Lance

We had a lovely stay in Finca El Lance. If you are looking for a stay in the beautiful nature of Tenerife, away from the masses, this is the place to go. The apartment was very lovely and equipped with everything you need. The view and the tropical garden is amazing. Many thanks to Ernst and Brigitte for a wonderful and comfortable stay. We hope to come back here sometime!

The Finca´s are original and very cosy..you feel an old atmosphere of beeing back in time. With a beautiful botanic garden! And a spectaculair sea view!!! You get so easy relaxed. We love this Finca´s and vistit them already five times.The new owners are very kind and it all fits! Best place to be!

When you are looking for the original Tenerife with its nature and villages and little tourists, Finca El Lance is the place to be. A beautiful reconstructed old farm (Finca) consists of several houses where you can stay. A lot of nature around the Finca and maximum privacy in each of the houses. Each house has the facilities you require to have a pleasant holiday. The Finca is located in El Tanque in the north-western part of Tenerife. El Tanque has several restaurants, a very good big supermarket and all other facilities like a petrol station, ATM's and pharmacy. From El Tanque all places to visit are nearby: cloudforest to walk at 15 minutes drive, the sea at 10 minutes, etc. The volcano Teide can be seen from your own terrace as well as the sea. Brigitte and Ernst will make you stay enjoyable and can advise you on all practical issues. They speak German, Italian, Dutch, English and Spanish. We enjoyed two very pleasant weeks at the Finca, made a trip each day and had lunch in one of the many restaurants around.

We stayed in cottage Miriam for a week in November and enjoyed our stay. Clean and spacious the cottage met our needs. Also nicely landscaped gardens provided pleasant outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy. A couple of items are in need of an upgrade - the music system and the TV. El Tanque is a working town and is not very touristy. This is not to everyone's taste but we quite liked it. The propety is a bit tucked away and directions from Hetti are needed.

This is a really unique property, with 5 individual cottages built into various old stone out-buildings of a local farm property, just on the edge of El Tanque. Our cottage - Rosa - has provided us with an idyllic and peaceful base for exploring Tenerife. it has a shaded, private outdoor dining area, a well-equipped kitchen, a large fireplace, and bright windows on the large gardens. There are many shared garden spaces with comfy chairs to gaze at the sea far below and enjoy the bird song. the owners live here and are very helpful with hiking guides, local restaurant recommendations, etc. Highly recommended for couples seeking a quiet base far from the all-inclusive scene in Tenerife. Will be back.

It is a beautiful finca and the apartments/cottages are spread throughout a wonderful garden. Each has its own part of the garden (ours was huge) and a barbecue. Perfect. Don't expect too much from the local village though - we looked for restaurants, but they are predominantly functional places with little atmosphere. You will need a car.

We have just returned from our holiday at this amazing place. Our cottage was as quaint and charming as it looked on the website; with the old wine press in our own private part of the garden. It was very well equipped and bedding and towels were changed mid stay. The gardens were so peaceful and beautiful and open to all guests to use as and when we wanted. Hetti looked after us throughout our stay, even providing us with supper when we had arrived late and hungry. I would recommend a visit at any time of the year to this charming finca.

Our family of four had a really nice, relaxing time here. The owners were great, very kind, accommodating yet respected your privacy. The family had clearly put a lot of hard work and soul into the property. Our apartment had everything we needed to be comfortable including a small kitchen, pots, dishes and plates. Beds were clean and comfortable and the space was unique. The only reason this isn't a 5 is just because location was a bit tricky to get to open restaurants. Will definitely return.

You can feel such a lot of loving charme in every small details in the beautiful restaurated old houses and the complete surrounding with the big garden and its several corners to sit and relax. I enjoyed it as the most beautiful place I`ve ever been to start my hiking tours. In July there was fresh air to breathe, while the rest of the island has been very hot. I really can recommend it for people who are looking for a silent stay in the nature. I travelled alone and it was always a good and very safe feeling in that Finca. The owners Hetti and Einar are very heartfelt persons who I felt more like friends than lessors. I wish them all the best and much more nice and friendly guests.

Finca "El Lance" is just the best, no doubt. An old farm with several beautiful old buildings, lovingly restored with a heartfelt passion. By the way the Finca is quality-rated as a socalled Casa Emblemática. Beautiful garden with calmness and art for the ultimate relax. Staff Louisa, Einar and Hetti are very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Very central position in El Tanque with good private parking. Highly recommended for a romantic stay. And also highly recommended for walking or biking the beautiful surroundings of northern Tenerife.
