Aza Cave Hotel Special Class Adults Only

Day 1 and I would love to move to another hotel already but I don’t want to lose my money. Advertised rooms are very misleading. Our bathroom is horrible, tiny and dirty and I think we’ve been given the worst room in the hotel. I don’t feel safe here and I feel like anyone can just walk off the street into our room. We only booked a standard room (I wish I had done my research better) but I took a peek into the room next door and it was a lot nicer. Disappointing, because we booked this room far in advance so I would have thought we’d get a nice room. Seemingly , they just give the nicest room to the highest bidder. I would have happily paid for an upgrade had I known the standard of this room. We weren’t even offered an upgrade. We are staying in the extension, which doesn’t even feel like part of the same hotel. The water comes on and off and while they say it’s an issue with the ‘government’ and not this hotel. I have spoken to people in the town and read previous reviews and I am not sure I believe them. The pool is icy cold and pretty much unusable which is so so disappointing. This was a major reason we chose this hotel and now we can only lie by the pool and look at the water. My partner and I went for a run this morning, there is no water to have a shower or use the toilet (basic human functions) and we can’t even use the pool to clean ourselves or cool off as it’s like an ice bath. I have spoken to other guests who share our sentiments. Also, when I called the hotel about the water today they claimed to know about this yesterday. Why didn’t they tell us this when we checked in?! Seems very under-handed. The only positives are the breakfast (which is absolutely beautiful, plentiful and first class), the beautiful garden area near the restaurant and the cats that roam around the hotel.

The hotel is beautifully located, with easy access to Göreme’s main attractions. A major highlight is the rooftop at their sister property, Sultan Cave Suites — truly spectacular for sunrise views. The breakfast was the best I had during my entire trip in Turkey: plentiful, delicious, and included both espresso and Turkish coffee. Unfortunately, the experience was seriously undermined by a major issue: the air conditioning in our room stopped working after the first night of our 3-night stay. I promptly reported the problem early in the morning, and while staff claimed a technician had checked it, the issue was never fixed. The room remained uncomfortably hot, and no real effort was made to resolve it or offer alternatives. This lack of responsiveness and service was disappointing and made restful sleep impossible. With such a significant failure in guest care, I can only give 2 stars, despite the excellent location and food.

I recently stayed at Aza Cave Hotel, and it truly exceeded every expectation. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning — beautifully designed, blending natural cave elements with modern luxury in the heart of Cappadocia. Every corner feels curated and magical. But what really made the experience unforgettable was the exceptional service. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome, comfortable, and cared for. A special shoutout to Tuna at the reception — he was incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely attentive. From helping us book tours to offering local tips and checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, Tuna truly made us feel at home. You can tell he takes pride in what he does!

The Aza Cave Hotel was an incredible experience from booking the shuttle to checking out!! The location is breathtaking! Expect a good uphill walk to reach it which is rewarded with a view! We were warmly welcomed by Alp who went way beyond to make us comfortable and arranged the King Breakfast Hike which was phenomenal! Other than getting a hands on taste of country living learning the history of the hotel was insightful and incredible to see that the owners hospitable values have not changed! Every member of staff we came across was helpful and courteous but I need to make a special mention to Ozan- who drove me to the pharmacy when I had a medical emergency. Both the King Suite and Standard Annexe we booked were beautiful and well appointed, we ate a tasty Asian dinner at the onsite restaurant and the included breakfast which was a vast and delicious spread! Our reluctant farewell was from Yasar who was helpful, friendly and efficient. Can’t recommend this establishment enough!

This hotel & staff are a 10/10!! This was my first time traveling solo and they made me feel like home! Not to mention, it was my birthday!!! When I tell you my favorite staff member ALP, made my day very special! Upon checking he gave me a property tour and took me to my upgraded suite! He then left and came back with a CAKE for my birthday! Like oh my goodness! The BEST! He told me about all of the tours and attractions, booked all my transports and just made me feel safe! On my way out to Istanbul, he gave me another gift! A handwoven carpet to hang on my wall at home! I am forever grateful for his superior service and would come back in a heartbeat! Also, the staff member Ulku in the hotel restaurant Aiza was extremely sweet and accommodating! I have visited over 13 countries and this hotel is by far one of the BEST! What are you waiting for?! BOOK IT!

A unique and enjoyable stay in a cave room suite, located in the courtyard with a communal terrace overlooking Fairy chimneys and the balloons floating by in the morning sky. The suite was spacious and clean with a very comfortable king size bed. The lighting is low therefore offered difficulties for my facial beauty regime using the bathroom mirror. I would recommend a light enhanced magnified mirror be installed. Bits of sand/rock occasionally fell off the ceilings and walls, this felt true to the character of the cave and enhanced the experience of being in a cave room. Breakfast offered an array of differing foods, from Turkish dishes, pastries, fruits to eggs cooked how you like. All fresh and delicious. Staff are friendly and extremely attentive, I asked if Kiwi was available when not out on the counter, the fruit came to me peeled sliced and beautifully presented! The hotel provided a complimentary activity, Kings Valley breakfast, we absolutely loved it, an opportunity to observe local people preparing traditional cuisine and offering an insight into how they live day to day, a humbling experience. This hotel played a huge part in making this holiday a spectacular one. They were on hand to suggest and book activities and surprised me with a birthday cake! We absolutely loved our 7 night wonderful stay at Aza Cave Hotel.

Alp was the most welcoming, and we are still under impressions of the hospitality that we received! The hotel is so beautiful, so many details, the pool, rooms, breakfast, and the most amazing personel working at the reception! It was the best holiday ever! Thank you, Alp, for making us feel like at home!
