"Nice, atmospheric hotel in old Dijon"

10.0

I come back to Philippe Le Bon each time I'm in Dijon. Interior courtyards and gardens + excellent breakfast + very helpful staff are among its top advantages. Michal, Montreal

"14th century hotel remodeled in 2011"

10.0

Great location. Small rooms of course. Charming hotel that had 6 centuries of Dijon history associated with it. I would definitely return.

"Tiny rooms and rude staff"

2.0

We stayed 2 nights there, adding an additional room for our daughter the second night who was meeting up with us. We were given the room next to the elevator, refused it and were put in a smaller room down the hall. We had no room to move or put our suitcases. Cleanliness was questionable. Our daughter was put in yet a smaller room. That evening, we wanted to have a glass of wine together, impossible in either of our rooms. It was raging get, so we looked in the cafe where they serve their overpriced breakfast, but it was full of smokers. So we sat on lawn furniture in a covered area with our own bottle of wine. We were told the cost was 10 euros to drink it there. We got up and left, incensed that they had treated us so poorly. Will never return, and you are smart to stay away unless you want to be mistreated. Not very convenient to anything in Dijon either..

"MOLD ON THE WALLS AT CARPET/NO HEAT/NO ONE CARED !"

2.0

The hotel is situated about 6 blocks from the nicer parts of Dijon in a slightly run down area of town. The hotel itself has 2 good restaurants and the staff was courteous. The only real complaint is when it got cold / rainy. There was an obvious mold smell coming from the wall and when they tried to remodel (quite ugly) they forgot to order a a/c unit with a heating element. So there is no forced air heat. They supply a couple of portable heaters (tacky) but they don't work. We had to leave a day early as our 9 month old baby / 8 & 14 year girls were uncomfortable. Of course they did not compensate us for the night we had to stay in another hotel with heat. Hotels dot com did nothing as well. We have switched to Trivago.

"Good location but expensive"

8.0

the location is perfect, however the room price was high for the size of the room and the bathroom condition (very small).People in the hotel are friendly though and a covered parking is just in front of the hotel.

"Charming hotel with a taste of European Luxury!"

8.0

This hotel is definitely one of the nicest in Dijon! Our room was spotless and clean, the service was polite, and the breakfast in the hotel's restaurant was delicious. The location is close to downtown and an easy walk to a number of restaurants and attractions in the city.

Found hotel in a very scruffy back street. Parking in underground car park was ok. Staff very pleasant. Room very basic hair drier and air con didn't work.

We arrived in the evening and there was a terrible thunder storm. Adrian on reception was very helpful as the restaurant was full he provided excellent directions to a nearby restaurant and loaned us umbrellas too! All credit to him for being very helpful and welcoming.

"Do not stay here"

2.0

Firstly I have not given a bad review yet but this hotel was truly terrible. Hotel room was not as website pictures advertise. Our first impression was getting out of the elevator to the floor where the room was. It was a dark and very run down hallway that smelt like a hospital. We then went into the room. Its size was fine but was very run down, all the walls were grubby and dirty, things were broken such as handles missing off doors and it smelt of urine. The bed was tiny. I am an average height female my feet hung over the edge. The bed was also so old that it was so uncomfortable and sunk towards the middle. The only positive was it looked the the bathroom had been renovated in recent years. The wifi was terrible and we couldn't connect. On approaching the staff about the room and the wifi they were very unhelpful and didn't care. Needless to say we checked out and ended up staying at the Best Western (I would highly recommend everything was great there)

"Poor customer service"

4.0

This hotel has poor customer service. Poor internet connection and dark rooms. Only things going for it are the location and the restaurant. We would not return.
