Hôtel Philippe le Bon

Excellent hotel in a great location. The price compared with the facilities is unbelievable. On site parking very limited but a underground car park is opposite charging €7.00 for 24 hours.

We stopped one night in Dijon on our way to the the Alps. The hotel is historical and has cachet. It is well located , 5 minutes walking distance from the Duc Places and other central beautiful Dijon places and buildings. The area is very quiet as well. Staff was very helpful. One loved this hotel and Dijon is a gem to visit if you can.

This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful historic building. The garden and courtyard are lovely and the location is excellent and quiet. Parking charge is expensive but there is a cheaper car park further up the street. Breakfast is excellent.

Hotel is fine but our experience was not good enough to warrant a return with many other hotels to choose from in Dijon we pass through regularly. In the restaurant for example, despite asking several time if we could sit at a better table, we were continuously told other people had booked them and they never showed up all evening....surely staying guests actually there should get priority over non appearing bookings....?

Good location and parking is a plus (charged 15 euros a night). Friendly staff and charming room (number 40) but not quite as comfortable as we had hoped. Synthetic duvet and pillows and poor sound islolation were dissapointing (we could hear the guests in the room next door). The restaurant has a beautiful terrace in a medieval courtyard. We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food.

Spent a couple nights at HPLB - great stay. We had rooms 40 and 41, the only ones on the fourth floor. AC worked great, plenty of room, nice bathroom, coffee/espresso in the room. Only a few minutes walk to the old town and plaza. Cheap parking across the street in the underground garage. Didn't have breakfast there, but wine on the courtyard was nice. Would definitely stay again. Try L'Epicerie&Cie for dinner, or BHV on the Place de la Liberation for wine.

Bath plug not working .we complained and were upgraded the second night to an executive room.bathplug still not working,no towel rail to hang towels, i asked twice for a blanket,but it never arrived.17£ breakfast and they didnt even have orange juice so we went to a cafe nearby. On the last day, at 10 am we couldnt brush our teeth or flush the toilet because the water was cut off to do some boiler maintenance. Very friendly staff but we dont recommend this hotel!

We received an upgraded room upon arrival. It was incredibly comfortable and the staff was very welcoming. Hope to come back to Dijon again and spend a few more nights here

We stayed overnight on our way to a ski holiday, we have stayed here every year for the last 6 Yrs and have always found it to be comfortable with a great restauarant. Dijon is a lovely place to visit and this hotel is in the oldest part. We always ask to stay in the old part of the hotel as it is very charming.

Beautiful old mansion restored with gorgeous courtyard and wine bar. great service. Rooms are clean but a bit ordinary but we had a beautiful view of the lovely courtyard which was lovely. Not totally quite but we were right next to elevator.The best part of this hotel is the location situated on a small quiet street next to the best part of dijon. Other hotels we saw were on the main congested street near the train station where there seemed to be homeless or vagrant people and was very noisy and not charming or close to the part of Dijon that is nicest. I would highly recommend this hotel.
