The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel provided First Class service from arrival, to check-in, during stay, to check-out. I was greeted with a warm and inviting welcome, which made me feel right at home. The room was amazing with a great view. We stayed overnight on 2/7 (room 507). It was a terrible experience. We left our luggage in the room and went out to dinner and a show. When we came back late that night we discovered that the bathroom door was closed because cold air was blowing in thru the cracks in the window insulation. So cold (<20 degrees) that the shower and toilet were unusable. My wife even tried to heat the toilet seat with a hair dryer. To make matter worse, the TV was inoperable ("Weak Signal" Error). We were also told that breakfast would be available at 8 am only to find it wasn't. So we had a room, no toilet, no shower, no TV & no breakfast. I sent this message on their survey and then again on their "Contact Us" function on their website. NO response! Has this place gone that downhill over the years?
