Craigellachie Lodge

Lovely rooms, very quiet and peaceful. Great location for exploring the area. Great little bar and delicious breakfast options. Staff were brilliant and went absolutely above and beyond at all times. Would definitely stay again.

Craigellachie Lodge is a little gem. Really enjoyed our stay, so welcoming, comfortable, delightful. Great location.

I feel bad writing this as overall I had a nice stay at the Craigellachie Lodge. The Speyside-location and grounds are gorgeous; the service was very good, but I just didn't feel the high nightly-rate was justified. I booked the Telford room seeing it had a bathtub - I had looked forward to a soak. I didn't make a fuss at the time because I thought I had possibly misread the room description (I hadn't), and it was only a one-night stay. The issue with the Telford room however was that the bathroom is basically a wet room - the shower had a movable screen which does nothing to stop the water going over/under. This means when showering the water goes absolutely everywhere, and the floor was soaking wet in the bathroom for the duration of my stay - so I had to put down all the towels. Maybe its me - maybe I'm being unreasonable, but I just didn't feel that the standard of the bathroom matched my expectations. The description for the Telford room (below) should be updated: "Bathroom – Private bathroom, deep-soaking bathtub"

The Craigellachie Lodge was fantastic. Not only was it a good price, but the accommodations were fairly spacious, clean, and comfortable. This was our first of five nights in Scotland, and our room (The Spey) was large enough that we were able to unpack our bags, sort the provisions we bought for our road trip, and repack without getting frustrated by lack of space. Check in and check out were both simple and efficient, and our hosts were very friendly. The lodge was a short walk (just down the drive and across the street) to the Copper Dog. We're sorry we were too jet-lagged to enjoy the bar, but it looked super cozy. Breakfast was great- get the whisky and porridge!

Lovely hotel with excellent staff.

Fantastic lovingly restored period property a few minutes walk from the local village. Great friendly hosts and staff. Lovely breakfast, very peaceful. Great sized rooms and an onsite bar with some great whisky.
