My stay at the Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel was not up to the standard that i would of hoped for. I am sorry to say that during my stay i was unhappy to say the least. When arriving the two gentlemen that greeted me at reception were lovely and pleasant. But when entering room 43 i was met by the smell of damp and the radiator off the wall on the right side. Not to mention the wall paper had started to bubble on the same wall on the left hand corner due to the radiator leaking. When waking up in the morning, we then found that all the electric sockets weren't working. I also reported this that said morning and found myself waiting over an hour for the problem to be resolved. I had a wedding to attend during the day and we had phones and cameras to charge but yet still no power. Overall i have found my experience at the assablishment to be fair less than pleasant. I find myself writing this to express my feelings about my stay isnt somthing i would do normally but given the circumstance i feel i must do so and leave this review.

Great location. Fantastic and well equipped gymnasium buried in the cellar. Really helpful staff. This old hotel has real style is far and away my favourite hotel in the UK!
