Royal Hotel

Bed was comfortable, music from the beer garden was intrusive, only wound down at midnight.

It was unique and charming. The staff looked after us v v well. Grant the owner, was very generous and friendly. Dinner was superb. I hope one day that it will be possible to brighten up the accomodation as that will add to the over all experience

Loved the old pub, old furnishings and fixtures

Cold, dirty and unpleasant The other guest staying there reminded me of the quote from Star Wars Obi-Wan: Mos Eisley spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.

It was difficult to work out where we were meant to go. We ended up doing a few circles and i had to take my kids in the front bar which i thought you had to be 18 to enter. The only PowerPoint in the room was behind a cupboard making it extremely difficult to use. The fan provided would not stand up on its own. We had to jam it between the wall and the table and a cupboard

It's an old hotel. Single beds were quite incomfortable, old style. Check in stated at 1pm, but because they were busy we could not check in until 3pm. Not a big issue for us, but still...

I liked the old hotel but in old hotels you get old rooms and it was tiny and plain but it was cheap.

Great meal very slow service. Upstairs ladies toilets had not be cleaned eg floors for months. Hall carpets dirty. Room carpets stained. Could not open windows. Clean linen and very cheap.

This place is a rooming house. I felt safer sleeping in my car.

Pretty average pub room. Extra power points would have been handy, but the staff are helpful and it was all we expected for budget accommodation.
