The Wilderness Inn: Chalets

We had a short stay at the cabins but it was amazing, they were very cozy and warm. Yann was very accommodating. It is very close to Whiteface mountain. I would definitely recommend.

The cabin could use a deeper cleaning.

I found that these cottages are Adirondacks real gem. Located in a beautiful setting, close to both Wilmington and Lake Placid, to tons of beautiful trails and sightseeing spots. Very warm ( which is super important for the end of October), comfortable, with excellent Wi-Fi. Our 2 - bedroom cottage Spruce had a fully stocked kitchen and 2 washrooms. Communication with the owner was super easy. Yann kindly accommodated our medical request. Our dog also enjoyed the property. We highly recommend this place and plan to come back.

The second bedroom in the Spruce cottage had a door outside and may be colder in winter months. Didn’t bother us though, since it wasn’t too cold outside , and there is a space heater provided ( which we didn’t use at the end of October).

Overall, a very pleasant stay! Location is pretty good.

The room light was very dim. Hardly we could see anything in the room.

This was a very comfortable and cozy cabin. Super comfortable bed! We liked the location as it was easy to travel to different sights in the Adirondacks and have a central location to return to. The cabins are definitely older but have been maintained well. The host is very responsive.

Everything was fine.

The cabin was clean but very dated. It was orderly and adequate. The property generally seemed to be in a state of disrepair but no real problems. The image shows an active well lit property, it was not, the main building seemed to be abandoned. We did enjoy our stay.

Beautiful scenery. Location was good. Pet friendly. Fireplace was good. Coffees pot,toaster,microwave were clean.

Outside chairs needed repair. Front door was broken. Duck tape holding screens on windows. Bath tub had dirt scum. Deck furniture was old and cracked.

The cabins were very run down and the place didn’t look like anything had been done with it in over a year. The pics on line did not look like this place. I would expect a whole lot better for 250.00. The place looked abandoned.
