The owner seemed really nice. The bed was comfortable and the only thing that was clean There was a standing fan in wardrobe that was V much needed in the heatwave.

Neither of the 2 rooms I booked had been cleaned. Bathrooms were filthy. I bought bleach spray and wet wipes from the store over the road just to be able to use toilet, sink, showers, it was honestly that bad. Never experienced having to do that before. Didn't want to confront owner, who seemed lovely, but it was just too awful to discuss for me. The dust on side tables and windowsills was ridiculous. The little table where cups and coffee were had equally same amount of dust, so there was no way I was using any of that. Had to keep shoes on as floor had not been cleaned and the bits on the floor were just not acceptable. No idea when the room had last seen a hoover. All very bizarre, as someone had clearly been in to change the bedding. It just boggles the mind. I urge the owner to clean rooms properly before letting out. It's just basic stuff and wouldn't have taken long at all. Just not acceptable for any amount of money if not clean. Had the room been cleaned and the bathroom free from others filth then the price would have been acceptable. I do hope the owner takes this feedback seriously as it would be a shame if not. I hope other guests have a cleaner experience.

Great location, friendly staff

Convenient town centre location, with free parking on the nearby streets. Comfortable bed, clean room and good shower, I couldn’t have asked for more. I was staying on a Friday night and there was no issue with noise from the pub. The pub itself is a nice mix of regulars and visitors, with very reasonably priced drinks. Plenty of local food options, including Mark Lane cafe & bakery across the street, which serves a fabulous breakfast.

One of the nicest places you could possibly stay. Dude who who owns is it is a very nice chap. And amazingly quiet considering its next door to a pub. Has all you'd ever need inside, and the shops around the place stay open surprisingly long for a relatively small area in Wales.
