The location was lovely although already very quiet in early October. The staff in the breakfast room were very helpful and attentive

The room was a :standard double with balcony. It was tiny. The two chairs squeezed into the balcony were both broken. Massively expensive and never anywhere near "4 star" - it is a B&B charging top hotel prices.

Staff were very helpful and kept in contact both before and during our stay. Breakfast and one dinner in restaurant was wonderful. Location was perfect.

There was a small area in the corner of the room that was covered by a mat that was not the same level as the rest of the room. A bit inconvenient for tripping or hitting toe.

The hotel is quirky in a positive way. The decor/furnishing is superb, all wood and natural fibre basket work and weaving. The staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was a bit chaotic but the staff were so friendly in didn't matter. This is not the hotel for you if you can't manage stairs. The entrance level is actually the 7th floor and ground level (where the restaurant is) is actually sea level. The lift only runs between the 7th and 3rd floors and so there is always stairs to climb.

A magnificent place to stay. Great staff--welcoming and warm--and friendly. We will return. Our stay was relaxing and enjoyable.
