Aretusa Apartments by Wonderful Italy

The location of the apartment with balconies is amazing, and the view is perfect as well its in a very good spot for ortigia, everything is close by as well as the beach and different bars and restaurants, but i only recommend this apartment if you are going to be out all day and just come there to sleep…

The staircase is quite narrow and locks on the doors are pretty difficult to unlock but also I had some problems with conditioning but it was fixed in a day, also it got incredibly hot in the apartment never mind the conditioning being on, the shower was pretty terrible as well, the pressure of it is non existent, also everything was quit dirty, the floors, the countertops, the couches and chairs…

Photo mensongère, nous avons réservé ce logement seulement pour la terrasse, et c’était en fait un autre appart. L’appartement était sale. L’eau n’était pas potable et à aucun moment on nous a prévenu. Le pire était le fait que nous n’avons pas eu d’eau chaude…

Lack of cleanliness nothing to clean property with no water at the start turning into a trickle 3rd day of our 7 day stay

Расположение просто супер, мы ходили часто на пляж, в квартире было 2 больших зонта.Вся необходимая посуда была в достатке.

Не было стиральной машинки, под окнами расположены мусорные баки ( близ лежащие кафе до поздней ночи выкидывают мусор и делают это очень шумно, утром в 6 утра приезжает мусоровоз он очень сильно шумит,

Großartig waren besonders die Lage, die es erlaubte alles fußläufig zu erreichen und die Dachterasse mit Meerblick. Auch die Klimaanlagen in den verschiedenen Räumen waren bei den hochsommerlichen Temperaturen ein Plus.

Die Türen der Dusche waren überhoungsbedürftig.

Location was great

I hated the fact that that I was misguided in the choice of apt. I wanted the one I saw with the lovable terrace. Only to arrive to a place with a small balcony. I literally booked this place for the terrace. I find this to be completely misguided and false advertising. I should have read the reviews , as when I did I see many of my travel peers have encountered the same problem. Just not right! Getting hassled constantly by the agency constant messages constant disturbance. Asking me to check in online and then having to do it all over again in person, I didn’t find the organization to be at all professional. There was no drinking water in the house.

Big bedroom and comfortable double bed

The apartment is shabby. Upon entering it smells a bit rotten. Water from the roof was dripping onto the ground. In general, the floor of the apartment was dirty, especially the balcony. Important note: the pictures on booking.com are misleading. They show an apartment with a nice terrace, but what we got were just two tiny balconies. Also the seaview is not really true, to the very right on the balcony it was possible to see a little bit of the sea.

It's a very big apartment. I think that is all about good things...

Location - if you want to rest at night don't book it. They are collecting empty bottles from restaurants every day between 4-7am. The street is so crowded, you can't really open windows. Book anything else on the other side of Ortigia - much quieter and closer to the car park. So not worth the money - I have booked it due to pictures and a beautiful view, unfortunately it turned out I've booked an apartment with a balcony not a rooftop. Fair enough, my bad... But I have paid over €550 for a place with a wonky bed, salty water in taps with so bad water pressure you can't rinse shampoo of your hair, bathroom smelling of mould. You can find cheaper places with the same standard. Parking - I did my own research and I was aware it can be difficult, but in my opinion stuff should be prepared and have any information about the long term car park subscriptions etc. When I asked about the car parks situation before our stay they replied they will tell me everything later, never done it. No-one even bothered to mention a huge event happening on Ortigia during our stay and that it could distract our stay - they closed all carparks to the public, including those outside the island. Our last night in Sicily we had to spend somewhere else to avoid another battle and the stress of finding a place to park our car. Local police and car parks security was very unhelpful and didn't even bother to point any alternatives. Service - they could bother and organise more than 0.5l bottle of water and 2 sachets of tea for a couple of people who are staying there a week.
