Sunset Condominiums

Excellent

The room was very nice looking but the air conditioner would not work at all and it was a very warm evening! For the ammount i paid for the room to not have something as essential as AC not working i am very disappointed and hope that Sunset will do right by us in some way!

One of the most unpleasant lodging experiences ever. The lack of air conditioning made it especially unbearable, as it was 84° in the room the first day and because we mostly relied on walking everywhere we’d come back to the room exhausted and sweaty with only a loud box fan for relief. The room also smelled - musty/moldy. We bought an air freshener which helped a little. The view from the patio was beautiful, and it felt better on the patio than in the room, but the height of the railing meant that sitting on the patio completely obscured the nice view. The screen to the patio was torn, so while leaving the screen open was the best bet temperature-wise, it let bugs in, including the huge spider that was on the wall when we first arrived. The toilet continued to run and run and run after flushing. The faucet was difficult to use - took all your strength to pull up. The shower was good. The room was outdated, a mini fridge (not at all the bid condo kitchen pictured). The location was incredibly inconvenient to everything, and walking was unpleasant as you had to dodge bikes and horse manure, both of which were everywhere. We left a day early and were just very disappointed, and were offered no partial refund or recompense when we called to let them know. To be avoided.

Stay was quite nice, aside from the 45 minute carriage ride. Only complaint is the the connecting door to the next unit (located right by the bed) let in LOTS of sound. Good thing I'm a heavy sleeper

It was good but could use an update

The cost was great, the sunset of the deck of #203 was magnificent; however, the accommodation isn’t well-maintained with mis-matched garage sale type furniture. The balcony is in bad need of some paint and the wicker tabletop has broken sharp wicker fragments sticking up that, if you’re not careful could scratch you badly. On a good note, it does have two chairs on the balcony. You get what you pay for. If you’re looking for an inexpensive place tucked away in nature with a great view of Lake Michigan and the sunset, this is your place. Loved the short walk to Sunset Rock. What a gorgeous view!
