No Power. No Generator. Washroom water not coming properly. Was total mess

The food, staff and facilities were great.

There was a storm the night before and powerline connecting the hotel was disconnected. Knowing the power quality in Zanzibar, it was surprising seeing a hotel of this magnitude not having a back up generator. We had a power outage for almost an entire day and had to use candles for light.

I liked the pool and the surrounding nature. It was very silent.

AC did not work, even after telling the team 3 or four times about. So the room was very hot during the night, even when having the over-bed ventilator running. I did not feel someone was listening to me especially after 3-4 times of talking to the team. In addition to that the water pressure in the room was not presented. Taking a shower with little pressure took forever. Background: I've been a solo traveller, booking the room because of AC was my key selling point.
