Residence Inn Providence Downtown

Clean, comfortable, nice kitchen, nice tv, nice breakfast

The hotel itself is really nice. Everything is new, comfortable and clean. My room was big with a king bed, desk, couch, and kitchen. Very nice staff. The location was great with lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and bookstores nearby. The complimentary breakfast was fresh with plenty to choose from. The problem for me was that the Wi-Fi went out for most of the day, and I was specifically there to work. I figured out a workaround, but it caused a lot of inconvenience for the purpose of my trip. If I was visiting for fun, it would not have mattered. I also wish the restaurant attached to it were better (not sure if it's run by the Residence Inn or not). Slow service despite being almost empty, mediocre food, and out of a lot of items.

This was our second stay and chose the property because of its very ratings for cleanliness. It’s also nice to be able to get good coffee and a nice breakfast right on the property. This time there was a plumbing issue but after reporting it, we were quickly moved to another room and our receptionist came upstairs to assist us in getting out of one room and into the other. This is a very nice property and it is well staffed.

The location is excellent, close to cafes and restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the shopping mall. The staff were excellent and engaged with guests whenever and wherever they interacted. We were offered an early check in when we arrived at 11 am and concierge advice.

The guest laundry was good and a bonus for travellers but was an extra cost.

Overall the room was clean however the mirror in the bathroom was broken which was concerning. I told the staff at the front desk but was done. Thank you

The best thing about this hotel was the front desk staff, who were always very pleasant and helpful. They provided me with directions several times during my stay, The hotel was also in a nice neighborhood, within easy walking distance of most of he the sights that I wanted to see.
