Rainbow Suites by Whistler Retreats

The location was very good, as in it is very central to the village. However, there is a taxi rank right outside the window so it is very noisy every night, into the early hours and there is a lovely cafe downstairs, but they play loud music from 7am.

It is very scruffy, in need of considerable updating. The tiles in the bathrooms have a lot of grout missing, the upstairs bedroom is on a mezzanine level opposite a very large window, but the blinds to this window are broken and do not close so it lets light in very early in the morning. The upstairs bathroom (the one with the bath and shower) is very tatty with marks/stains in the sink. The curtains throughout the property were hanging off and it was very dusty throughout. When we had an issue we rang the company and spoke to owner/manager Brian, he was very antagonistic, rude and insulting and just wanted to argue, as others in previous reviews have also commented upon (wish I had read these before staying at the property but these reviews appeared after we had booked). I have never experienced anything like it.

We made a double booking in error, we queried this many weeks before arrival with Booking.Com and the property - Booking.com referred us to the property. We received no response at all from the property. When we finally spoke to the owner 'Brian' he was aggressive, insulting and rude - he just wanted to argue and refused to listen. Completely unacceptable service from Booking.Com and the owner.

The property is easily accessible from shuttles. It’s in the Village and easy walking to shops and gondolas. Was quiet and we were there over a weekend. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking pots, etc. Would stay there again if we make it back up that way!

The location was great, the place was nice and convenient. We only had a bit of an issue with the pull-out couch, but it was taken care of. The bathrooms were advertised as 2-bed 2-bath, but there was only one full bath and one powder room. The place was clean and convenient, but the bathroom needs to be updated.

Just the main bath shower did not work too well

The location was wonderful. Condo was rustic & quite dated but it worked very well for two couples. Very close to Whistler village, restaurants, gondolas etc. Free underground parking was a great asset. Check in was easy using codes & phone staff were very pleasant.

Right underneath our condo was Moe Joes Nightclub which is open 7 days a week. The base music came right through into the condo. It was very unsettling & disturbed our sleep on both the first & second nights, however, on our final night the music never turned off & we were unable to get any sleep. The nightclub is supposed to close at 2pm, however, it was still playing all night as we congregated in the living area at various times, trying to decide what to do. Finally at 5:30am we showered, packed ,cleaned up the condo & left earlier than planned.

The hosts were always available and were honest regarding my questions before arriving. I chose this unit for location and value, both were very good

Everything in the unit is very worn out. The upholstered furniture cushions are misshaped and worn, very likely dirty. The tile grout was chipped out from years of neglect. one bathroom sink enamel is worn off. Although expected, unfortunately, we couldn't leave the screen door open in the evening for fresh air given the loud late night partiers. Since there is no AC it would've been nice.
