Manoir d'Hastings

Nice, quiet spot to stay while in the Normandy area. We saw the same lady working every day- breakfast, lunch, dinner, check in and check out...she needs an increase in pay! The only drawback was, it said the restaurant/bar was open every day until 10pm on their sign, but we arrived just before 9pm and they were closed. They told us we should have called, which we would have, if we had only known . It's about 10 minutes away from a town center with several places to eat. Very cute spot! Historic!

Nous avons passé deux jours agréables dans votre manoir. Le restaurant était très bien, la proximité de la mer, entre Ouistreham et Merville, est parfaite : nous reviendrons avec plaisir ! La dame à l’accueil, qui s’occupe également du dîner, a été vraiment très gentille avec nous et a su parfaitement répondre à nos attentes.

Was in the Exotique room for one night. Clean, beautifully decorated. Gave 4 stars for Comfort only because there was just a near empty bottle of shower gel and no shampoo. Bed and mattress were super comfy, menu was lumited, which means more fresh things to eat. Super quiet, old nunery-type building tastefully renovated, with lovely courtyard and a hidden garden at the rear.

Notre chambre familiale était vraiment spacieuse et les lits confortables bien que le bâtiment annexe où elle se trouvait soit banal. Par contre il y avait une légère odeur d'humidité, plutôt dans la salle de bains. L'hôtel est idéalement situé pour le ferry et on trouvé une bonne crêperie à 5-10 minutes à pied.

Lovely staff, easy access from the ferry and lovely comfortable large rooms. Would definitely stay again.

A mix-up on my booking from Hotels.com. The hotel received a different message than my original booking and thus received a downgraded room. The hotel was fully booked and therefore unable to change much. Each room is themed and individual. First room had black ceiling and walls and no windows - only the doorway for light. Owner did try to assist as much as he could. Managed to change to a lighter and brighter room. It was only one night (before the ferry) so I was happy enough. Restaurant attached was very good.

Séjour agréable. Personnel accueillant et agréable. L'isolation phonique pourrait etre meilleure et le miroir de la chambre est particulierement haut, surtout pour une chambre PMR.

The room had been an outbuilding. It had no windows and the only light was from a glass door covered in curtains made from what looked like sack cloth. The room had a damp smell and the only way to air it was to leave the door open and sit outside. Luckily the hotel has lots of outside tables . Overnight the bed felt damp. Apart from that the hotel was pretty with pretty gardens and a pleasant restaurant.

An real gem of a place, excellent value for money and a stones throw from the ferry. My room was upgraded
