Perfect location in shibu Onsen, staff were exceptionally helpful

The staff were so pleasant and helpful the entire time! We were delighted to find manjuus, water bottles, and fresh yukatas delivered to our rooms for each of the two nights we had stayed. The bath facilities were well-kept and very refreshing to enjoy, even after going through all 9 of the onsens in town with the key that was given to us.

Le personnel est tellement gentil, les cuisiniers sont au top ! Le petit déjeuner est royale et copieux, le bâtiment est propre bravo au personnel de nettoyage, et le onsen est génial !

L’hôtel est tellement beau et bien placé devant un endroit à photo donc le soir il y avait beaucoup de bruit, mais ça va ça reste raisonnable les gens ne se couchent pas très tard ( 23 h max )

Very nice and cozy ryokan right in the middle of Shibu Onsen (and next to bath #9 where you end). It's directly across the street from the huge ryokan with all the lanterns that's in many of the tourist photos, so very scenic. Perfectly located if your goal is to do the nine baths. Really enjoyed the meals here! I'd think I was done and then the next course would arrive! Lots of variety. The staff were also so kind and friendly, and honest! I was initally overcharged via booking.com due to my own error and the staff at Ikariya immediately noted and acted to correct it on their own initiative. We had a few friendly conversations and they showed me how to properly stamp the prayer towel for the baths too.

Great location, excellent breakfast, friendly staff nice but small Onsen, we asked for a quiet room and they have us one with its own private bathroom

The hotel doesn’t list its location/correct address as Shibu Onsen, Yudanaka, Nagano, only Nagano, and driving directions; when you search for the Hotel on Apple Maps to get train directions it takes you to Echigo-Yuzawa, we had purchased tickets here and had to change them at the last minute which cost us thousands of yen.also our room was very outdated and dirty, doors were dirty. Our room wasn’t cleaned in 3 days. Only 1 staff member spoke limited English. We had to repeatedly ask for clean towels

浴室の時計が止まっていたのは残念でした。

האוכל היה מדהים, היחס של הצוות היה מעולה, הריוקן במיקום מצוין, היינו 4 לילות ויצאנו לטיולים וחזרנו כל יום לריוקן. הצוות היה פתוח לשינויים - ביקשנו ארוחה טבעונית לאשתי, ועשו לנו ארוחה כזאת כל ערב ובוקר - ארוחה מאוזנת, מלאה ומתחשבת.
