Breakfast was good

We booked 3 rooms. While the rooms were passable, the toilets were the worst—unclean, poorly maintained, and unacceptable for a resort. We also noticed pests like lizards and cockroaches, which reflected a clear lack of proper upkeep. When we raised these issues at checkout, not a single apology was offered. Though a small amount was deducted as a token gesture, it did little to address the poor experience. Even the reception area’s toilets were in terrible shape—our driver couldn’t use them. Overall, the experience lacked professionalism and basic hospitality. Would not recommend.

Food, cleanliness and staff

1. Prime location near backwaters with lush green plants and trees 2. Good breakfast and food 3. Nice swimming pool and recreation area

1. Room 101 - lake view facing room having sewage issues where sewage was leaking which causing bad odour even though we not using. Luckily we went in group and booked 3 rooms and avoid the bathroom. I suspect property management knows this already and allotted this since we asked all 3 rooms nearby. 2. Room floor and bath mats to be cleaned regularly as it’s causing smell often.

Restaurant food was good! Chef David suggested and explained several (new for us) menu choices which were delicious. Lots of variety and staff very accommodating and friendly! Great to have a pool to cool down after a day of exploring. The manager Kevin gave us tips and directions for exploring the local area, also arranged tuktuks for us to some Ayurvedic spas. A big thank you to all..

Great staff, great location (by the banks of Vembanad). We got the log hut and that was an icing. Food is great and they keep the surroundings clean at all times. Later did we get to know that the last scene from the famous recent Malayalam movie “Home” was shot at this very location

There was nothing to not like

Beautiful location,greenery , swimming pool , you will have a good day if you are not a lizard phobic.

Lots of lizards everywhere, specially appearing in rooms from evening to whole night , from doors , windows everywhere , nightmare for lizard phobic persons , there is no door frame from bottom for the room door, there is a big space for any type of reptiles to come inside which is very dangerous, in day time we enjoyed the beautiful resort but whole night couldn't sleep as the lizards were running on ceiling whole night, we booked 2 rooms for my family,both rooms have running lizards , slept for one hour to suddenly see a lizard on ceiling just above us doing strange movements at 3am, I was not expecting such a night after spending 20,000 Rs for 2 rooms per night for the Christmas and new year holidays, While booking I clearly asked Cyrus resort about lizards as my kids are scared of it,they said untill now we have not seen lizards here . During my stay I said to the cleaner boy to remove lizards out of the room but he said " it's a daily issue , nothing happens, he can't remove lizards from the room. Canteen has a lot of mosquito at night , please do something for that too. Not worth of 10,000 per night room. I was not getting time to write review, please do something to solve these issues.

Extremely spacious room with serene views, this property was a treat for us. The pool was extremely clean and food at the in-house restaurant was exceptional. I would love to return!

A staff member was a little unwelcoming and didn't help us with nearby attractions and few other queries

As a hotelier only the location was good and the river view was amazing.

First of all the property need good take care. Seems like non of the staff are not care about the resort. We got a room with full of mold in bathroom and tong bed sheet. Cleanliness was very poor. Only the gentleman who serve the waiter was good and keep the manners up to standard. Otherwise non of the staff does not have any basic manners or customer service skills. I hope Tollins group need to train their staff how to behave. We paid almost 7000/- per day but I felt like I’m staying In 3 star OYO Room.
