the reservation has been paid. The hotel did not find our reservation, we had to pay for the night. The room had old broken furniture and the shower did not work. The employee did not give a receipt for payment for the room for the night and was in poor condition. A complaint was filed with the booking. But booking returned only 20%, despite re-paying for the room and the terrible conditions. The hotel does not contact you either by chat, by phone or by mail. I don't recommend it!

Hello, Booking Team My name is Nikolai Nakov and I had a reservation at the Sashalom Hotel in Budapest from 4th to 6th of May this year. The confirmation number of the reservation is 4399138329. My intention with this message is to make a complaint and more importantly, raise awareness on the staff’s behaviour of this hotel, most precisely, the owner of the hotel. Basically, we entered the hotel to be negatively surprised by the way we were welcomed: the owner was EXTREMELY drunk. Before us, there was an Asian couple at the reception and the owner cussed and said a lot of swear words to them in Hungarian, thinking they wouldn’t understand but we did. That is certainly not a way the owner should behave with tourists. That is inadmissible. Moreover, he dropped our ID cards due to his advance state of inebriation. Not to mention that the reception/lounge room was not clean at all. I did not get to see the room because I chose to leave as my dignity deserves more than these deplorable conditions and owner’s behaviour. This experience was awful and as I said, I just want to raise awareness regarding what this hotel offers you: disgraceful behaviour with tourists and shameful conditions.

Location is convenient if going to airport

Very poor hygiene. There were no covers for the pillow and the sheets. Room had a cigarette smell and after flushing toilet, the smell was terrible. We didnt feel comfortable taking a shower in there.
