Sharon Hotel Herzliya

There was a problem with the air conditioning unit in our room and the hotel could not have been more helpful in helping us move rooms as they couldn't correct the unit at that time.

Front desk staff was somewhat aloof upon my arrival, not wanting to help my taxi driver get paid (internet was not working on his phone), but after that were very friendly toward me and helpful. I stayed 11 nights and was quite comfortable. The breakfast was great -- lots of fresh salads and fruits as well as pickled fishes, cheeses, breads, and different egg dishes every day. Views from the rooms are wonderful. Rooms are roomy, balconies are big enough for two to sit, maybe three. Pool was pretty cold, but very clean, and adjoining terrace had great view of the sea. Worst aspects of the hotel were: cleaning staff (my room was never vacuumed and my sheets never changed in those 11 days), room service staff (they came to my room twice even though I hadn't ordered anything, the first time coming in my room without knocking at 11pm while I was sleeping the night I arrived = suspicious), and the outside door minders (useless at getting me a cab). On the whole, a good experience. I would stay there again.

Although furnishings were a bit dated, the room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Located on the beach, the neighborhood was peaceful and enjoyable. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

The hotel offered all services as promised, including nice breakfast. My major complaint is that the hotel charged an extra %50 of a nightly rate for early check-in (at 6:30 am) even though the room was empty and ready. That seemed an unnecessary "chisel" and bad PR.

The rooms look like they're in much better condition online than in person. The hotel really needs to update the rooms, lobby and meeting areas. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The outside grounds are beautiful and the location is convenient to the town square.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. Our room was spacious and clean and had a fantastic view of the ocean! We look forward to returning soon.I was especially impressed with the manner in which we were ushered by the hotel employees, into the bomb shelter, upon the sound of a siren.

Pleasant stay of few days, will certainly return in future.

Only negative was the housekeeping staff, on 2 occasions I found items of clothing in the wardrobe that I suspected were left there by the housekeeping staff for whatever reason, it ruined a delightful stay

Came with boyfriend on business trip but had plenty of time to relax. Very nice place to relax and being a swimmer, i really appreciated the lap salt pool they had. It was a treat to swim there and loved the view from ourroom.
