Fairmont Royal Pavilion

For me and my wife Fairmont Royal Pavilion is very special. We honeymooned here in 2023, and came again this year for our 2 year anniversary. Many of the staff at the hotel remembered us from our previous trip, and after walking away from our trip in 2023 with such happiness, this return very much felt like a welcome home. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable, the water is unreal, and the resort staff are really exceptional. Many to name, Renico, Dario, Shane, Michael, Simon, Glyne, Ryan, Lorenzo, St Claire, but the list extends to the rest of the staff and management. The food at the restaurant was excellent, and we loved the breakfast (whoever is making those pancakes deserves a raise). The resort was able to accommodate our early arrival, and very flexible throughout our stay. We extended our stay 2 more nights because we were having such a wonderful time, and the hotel facilitated the accommodation seamlessly. Couldn't ask for more. We absolutely love Fairmont Royal Pavilion and had a wonderful time. We look forward to coming back, and I want to reiterate that the beautiful beach and awesome staff really make this a magical place to visit.

Not a 5* hotel by international standards. The fresh coat of pink paint is a good attempt to distract the eye from many problems and neglected areas on the property. The entire resort is very dated and this is especially obvious in the outdoor-/pool area. During our entire stay the pool had leaves swimming on the surface and smelled very strongly of chlorine. The foot shower coming from the beach was broken, cracks in the walls were all over the property etc.. The Beach Club is probably the most neglected area. It had nothing to do with a 5* experience. It is only due to people like Ryan from the beach club or Teresa in the restaurant that the place is given a soul. On day three I had washed my sunglasses in the gents next to the pool. I realised 15 minutes later that I had left them in there but they had already disappeared. Staff are tending to the facilities regularly so I had hoped they had handed them in at reception but no such luck. The concierge did not really care about the report and only put me in touch with the manager after repeated requests. A very defensive response followed and absolutely no 5* service. There is no security camera in the pool area so they were unable to check. In general security cameras and staff are absent on the property. Always watch your belongings. I doubt other guests would steal sunglasses at these hotel prices. The food in the breakfast hall and the restaurant was very decent and they offered a large variety of meals that changed every day. The room was cleaned twice a day but the pillows had a strong ‘old’ smell and there was no fridge in the room either. Décor had a 90’s vibe to it. Will not return to this property.

Pleasant! Great room with beautiful views. Nice pool and excellent service from Simon at the poolside. Breakfast was underwhelming and the environment was scruffy with birds flying everywhere and fresh and old bird poo on the dining chairs that were old and uncomfortable. The staff were pleasant. This hotel is NOT the standards of other Fairmont Hotels by any means!

It was a lovely one spent at Fairmont Royal Pavilion . It was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The Room was spacious and comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch, with helpful and friendly staff. Front desk agents , concierge , restaurants are amazing and professional . Tia Maria , Keisha , Khadijah , Michael , all housekeeping are amazing. Food is very tasty . Room facing the beach is adorable . Beach team and health club are amazing . I would definitely stay here again in the future.

It’s hard to find much fault with this hotel but what it does have going for it in the Main are all the lovely lovely team members ….who cannot do enough for you and always there with a hello, a dazzling smile , and kind words …..this is absolutely one of the things that would bring me back…in particular ..Rea….what a gorgeous lady ….day in day out ….and Keisha always there with a smile …..there are so many people to mention …..rooms lovely ….big and spacious , very comfortable bed, albeit smallish against normal standards …..the housekeeping team that are usually forgotten do an amazing job…….please please stop the Sunbed reserving, we witnessed multiple occasions of people reserving on beach and then reserving around pool….saying that we didn’t have an issue as we were up early , however the thought of having to do this to ensure a bed for the days relaxation is not what I need to be doing on holiday…overall a fantastic experience , great great location , the food we eat here which was mainly lunch was lovely and drinks just as nice ..breakfast was also lovely on the days we did partake ……….still water was plentiful …albeit I don’t believe you should have to pay for sparkling water ..which is all we drink …..we would definately return

I had a hard time choosing a hotel on the West Coast. I had a budget in mind and was torn between three options. The Fairmont was running a special that made it the most affordable, so we booked it—though I’ll admit, some mixed reviews had me a bit nervous. After spending 7 nights there, I’m happy to say we’d absolutely return. All rooms are oceanfront with incredible views and perfect sunset-watching right from the balcony. The rooms themselves are very comfortable. The beach is lovely great for beach walking and collecting sea glass. The included breakfast buffet was generous and delicious—so much so that we never even needed lunch. Staff were friendly throughout our stay. I did mention it was our anniversary when booking, and while it wasn’t acknowledged (which is fine), it’s worth noting in case that matters to you. While I wouldn’t call it a true 5-star experience compared to other Fairmont properties, I’m giving it 5 stars based on value for money. Considering the price, the view, and the overall comfort, this was a great find—and I highly recommend it.

Staff member at Beach Club rude we explained we were members but had not been there before, she refused to give us a towel each and was miserable and unhelpful. Staff at Beach Club restaurant Taboras ignored us so we moved on. It does have a nice beach area but so does the whole of that side of the coast you will always find a lovely bit of beach so for me that’s not enough to consider staying there in the future and in any case all the beaches in Barbados are public.

The staff members were very friendly and helpful. The quality of the room was excellent, including room service. The highlight was sailing with Ryan on the hobie cat. He gave us a very entertaining ride. The gym, though small, was very adequate. The beach doesn't get any better than Royal Pavilion's.

First of all, in the interest of being fair, I love Fairmont properties and stay often. This hotel is not up to Fairmont standards, by any means. My room included airport pick up & return. Was never picked up as the hotel never requested arrival information. All the rooms include free breakfast. It is terrible. Bacon that was only partially cooked. The sourdough & French breads for toasting frequently out. Jams ran out. Fresh berries ran out. When you asked about resupplying was told soon or none left. We had dinner in the pool restaurant once only. It was comprised of very dry BBQ chicken and a steak with no taste. The pool area is old and there is almost no pool service. When you did get service you had to sign with. each drink, in case they never returned. My room was very nice and the view is to die for. Gorgeous! Still, not enough to offset the mediocre food & service. Certainly not anywhere near 4 or 5 star property.

The Fairmont Royal Pavilions Mother's Day Lucheon surpassed my expectations.. The ambience was welcoming and the variety and quality of the buffet was spectacular. I must compliment the staff especially Elissa, Mr Singh and Michael, their customer service was exceptional.
