The building is well renovated, clean, rooms are big with very comfortable beds, the stuff is trying to be friendly

It’s located in the eastern part of Jerusalem in the area very uncomfortable for walking. The stuff is instructed not to speak Hebrew but English only making it very unfriendly for Israeli Jewish citizens. Breakfast is expensive (150NIS) and not worth it.

The American Colony is a beautiful hotel, with kind helpful staff, comfortable stylish rooms and excellent food. We're definitely coming back!

The pillows were really tough. Slim and incomfortable, even when we asked for a third, we were uncomfortable. The AC (cold) didn't work, and as it was hot we left the window open, which wasn't ideal/

Historical gem! Staff especially front desk manager were excellent.

This is a family owned and run hotel, most of the staff have worked there for in excess of 15 years, they love their jobs and it shows. The service from all at the hotel was exceptional, they organised our taxi's to and from the hotel to Ben Gurion airport. They also arranged all taxi's and tour guides for our trips round Jerusalem old city, Bethlehem and Jericho. All costs put on the hotel bill so easy to pay once for everything as we booked out. Fabulous service in an amazing hotel.

Charming, unique and a lovely property celebrating the rich history of the area and the former glory of Jerusalem

The property is somewhat run down with tired rooms,old furniture, crockery and cutlery, old and tired breakfast area. Just wasn’t up to its promise.
