Sobe Merlon

We loved our clean, modern spacious apartment. It was the perfect space for our family of 4 and breakfast was included. We loved the location & exploring the (Old Town) Stari Grad Tvrda.

I didn't have breakfast, but my coworkers had, they were very satisfied. I very much like that Merlon has that offering, same for lunch and dinner.

I like the location of Merlon property in the center of old town Osijek. Property is very modern and nicely decorated. It gives you opportunity to stay long at night in the restaurant & bar with your friends. Also, all other restaurands and bars are very close and you do not need the car. Fro other side, if you like to be at more quite places, than Merlon is not for you. Big plus is that Merlon gives you place to part the car in near the property without charge.

We spent four days at Sobe Merlon hotel and we don't recommend this place at all. The bar downstairs was extremely dirty. The floor was sticky and full of crumbs, most of the tables left uncleaned from the night before. We found a full nail in one of the drinks we ordered. Breakfast wasn't included, but we were assured we could get it and pay for it separately. However, when we asked for breakfast we were answered there was nothing left. The counter at the bar and restaurant was full of dirty dishes and glasses and bottles were left by the windowsill for two days . The room didn't have any fridges to store water in, and that wasn't that pleasant especially in summer. The staff was quite nice and kind, but there was just one person in the morning and afternoon looking after the bar, restaurant and the rooms. We ordered cappuccino and toast on different days and the price for the same things was never the same. Before leaving the property, we ordered one more toast. We were served a plate with some cold and BURNT toast, which we assumed they were someone else's leftover.

Hotel located in the very center of the old town. Quite a small breakfast.

Great location in the center of the fortress. Very good breakfast.
