The Hermitage Hotel

Everything about our stay was perfect. Room was clean and comfortable. Even with construction across the street the noise was not noticeable. Easy walk to The Gulch, Broadway, Ryman areas. We enjoyed afternoon cocktails at the lobby bar with history lessons on the room and the ladies the drinks were named after. If I make it back to Nashville The Hermitage will be my first choice of stay. The fitness center even had kettlebells which I use regularly at home with weights ranging from 8kg - 24kgs.

Wonderful location and absolutely beautiful hotel. The service was impeccable. I can't say enough about the staff, they were so helpful with everything- and we needed a lot of help with a mobility challenged traveler

This hotel is beautiful. The rooms, the dining facilities, and common areas -- everything was lovely. Housekeeping was spectacular and provided lots of little extras each day which made us feel pampered and taken care of. We ate at both restaurants and found the food delicious. There seemed to be plenty of employees on the ground floor, welcoming you and available to help with whoever you needed. It hotel was close (an easy walk) to some of the attractions we were interested in seeing (The Ryman, The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Broadway, etc.) but in a quiet neighborhood.

Our checkout experience was extremely poor. Since we had a flight at 7:00 AM, we left the hotel at 5:00 AM. Despite being such a high-end property, there was only one staff member available. When we arrived at the front desk, he told us the system was already closed and that he couldn’t review the documents, even though I had not yet been able to check or confirm the extra charges. Because he was the only person working, he then left to retrieve our car. Meanwhile, we realized that we had forgotten our bag inside the hotel. As the doors were locked, I was unable to re-enter the property to retrieve it. We repeatedly called the hotel and rang the bell multiple times, and in the process of trying not to leave our belongings behind, we were at risk of missing our flight. It is absolutely unacceptable for a property of this level that guests cannot re-enter the hotel for nearly 20 minutes—especially considering that my passport was still inside the lobby, as I wasn’t even sure whether the checkout process had been properly completed. Additionally, I had ordered balloons as a surprise for my sister’s birthday. On one document, the charge was around $185, while on another it was over $200. I cannot understand how balloons could cost a total of $385–400. It is also very concerning that a single staff member was responsible for valet, checkout, and door duties all at once in such an expensive, five-star hotel.

The Hermitage is the nicest hotel we have ever stayed at. The services they offer are 5 star. We come here at-least once a year for family fun. It’s far enough away from broadway to not have all the noise, but still close enough to walk.

The room was lovely, good view. Housekeeping staff worked their magic exceptionally well every day 11 / 10. The door staff are very helpful with tips about the locality. The restaurant is good and the downstairs bar is a lovely place to hang out. The cafe food comes from the same kitchen and is high standard. The lobby is beautiful and comfortable. Front desk were great.

The lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room is a big oversight. Quite difficult to order afternoon tea in the lobby. Some of the staff dropped the ball a number of times. The noise through the door of the adjoining room was only slightly annoying.

I simply loved this hotel. From the look to the feel to the small chocolate next to your bed with water next to it to the perfect, I mean OCD perfect everything. The little things are just out of control, the towel next to the bed with slipers on it, the lap top placed next to the bed on a towel, the hot water so quick, warm and perfect pressure. The most classic bathroom in the country downstairs with original green tiles. Lets talk about the staff. Manager, the staff Emrish, so helpful and always smiling made the stay to nice, Daryl, helped us with what to do and where to go and it was so helpful and Katie from the restaurant downstaris. I am telling you, it is one of the best stays in a hotel in a long long time, I was at the 4 seasons a week before, not even close with the TLC they give you at the hermitage. Then there is the historical effect and the Jack Daniel Sweet and it just goes on and on. Stay at the Hermitage if you are in Nashville other wise you have wasted your trip. Mike

Beautiful hotel and amazing staff. Beds were very comfortable and water pressure was out of this world!! We are looking forward to our next stay.
