Location was good. Decor was awesome

Not able to use outdoor amenities due to weather. Over priced spa services which I would have used in lieu of outdoor if affordable

The property was gorgeous. Rooms, hallways and elevators were clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were updated and relaxing. The staff were nice across the board. Even the guests were in good mood which I saw as a reflection of such a wonderful staff and property. This will be our family go-to-hotel in Galveston from this point forward.

Only had one elevator working during our stay but it was easily negotiated.

It was a nice place and I love old hotels that are kept up. A lot of the places on Seawall blvd are closed and honestly some of it looks gloomy. There are places that have been there for years that were still fine and nice. I guess some are trying.

The bikes that are complimentary were no good. They’ve been in the salt air way too long.

No servia mas que un elevador, el dia que llegue le hiban a dar algun mantenimiento me dijeron de la piscina y a las 8:45 pm ya andaban cerrando todo y sacando a la gente porque a las 9 pm nos dijeron que cerrarian y el motivo por el que fuimos fue estar en una tarde y noche de pool con la familia, la habitacion que me toco el bano extremadamente pequeno y junto todo, llevaba a mi mama que pedi asistencia de silla de rueda porque le cuesta caminar y camina con baston, y el bano no tenia donde ella sostenerce y todo estaba junto horrible el bano para el hotel y lo que cobran una desepcion, la vista que me toco segun a la ciudad decia y fue vista a un parqueadero de carros, para tomar el elevador teniamos que esperar mucho porque servia solo uno y para lo que me cobraron ni desayuno incluia, tambien tube que pagar 100 dolares de mas que me devolverian entendi poque no tenian nadie bilingue a la hora que llegue no entendi mucho porque asi que me toco pagar 100 mas de lo que suponia que pagaria en registracion, el agua del jacuzzi extremadamente caliente, senti que me quemaba en vez de relajarme tuve que salirme pronto.

Beautiful, historic hotel, right in front of the Gulf

Staff was unprofessional, first room had hairs on pillows, night stand, and shower. Bell service was difficult to get, and we had to finally just cart our own bags. They tried to charge us $25 extra for undisclosed Resort Fee, and then changed their minds when I declined to pay it. The second room had paper thin walls and we could hear every word spoken by guests in an adjacent room. Toilet seat was loose, and there was no mini fridge

It was elegant, beautiful and super clean.
