Old Waverley Hotel

Location is superb

Comodissima posizione per muoversi a piedi e con i mezzi pubblici. Camera silenziosa nonostante la posizione dell'hotel sulla strada principale Princes Street.

Al momento della prenotazione ci era stato comunicato che la stanza aveva la finestra su spazio interno con vetri oscurati ma non immaginavamo che fosse quasi impossibile da aprire e vedere la luce del giorno. Consiglio di non prenotare questo tipo di stanza.

Right on Princess Street one block from the Royal Mile. Easy access to everything, a beautiful ancient hotel. Delightful staff, wonderful meals in the tastefully decorated dining room. Scenic view from the coffee shop lounge.

Hotellin sijainti oli erinomainen ja henkilökunta ystävällistä. Huone oli rauhallinen ja sängyt oli sijoitettu hyvin. Yleisessä oleskeluhuoneessa kelpasi istua drinkin ääressä.

Pientä huomautettavaa oli sängynalusten siivoamisesta.

Il n’est pas très bien insonorisé, les portes claqués et on entend les gens parler parfois très tôt ou très tard.

Location, housekeeping staff was excellent, with nothing extra to ask

To get to the reception desk, (where the lift was available), you need to take the stairs, and if you have bags, it can be difficult. The bathroom has a bath tub, which can be dangerous, with risk of fall. It is better to replace with shower. No fridge or safe in the room, can be noisy during day time.

Mooi hotel, perfect gesitueerd in het centrum, vlakbij zowel treinstation als metrohaltes.

De prijs is heel hoog maar dat is nu eenmaal het prijspeil tegenwoordig in Edinburgh. Vanwege de locatie aan Princes Street moet je wel rekening houden met wat lawaai van de drukke weg al had ik daar op de derde verdieping niet veel last van. Er is een lift.
