Welcoming host, comfortable room with an onsite dining option. Close to Henry Parkes Centre and Museum and short drive to town centre.

We enjoyed our recent stay here. The hotel had everything we needed for an overnight stay, including recommendations for an evening meal in town as we stayed on a night that the restaurant was closed. I would definitely stay here again.

Requested a quiet area of the hotel, got an email back saying "request approved," then we got put 10m from the pool with a family of five next door. Kids and parents screaming at each other all afternoon. We'd had a fifteen hour flight then a five hour drive on no sleep, we just wanted to sleep when we arrived but had to listen to the noise from the pool til 7pm then the same kids next door for the rest of the night. HALF OF THE HOTEL WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY so they saw our request, acknowledged it, then plopped us right in the middle of everyone else when we could've been at the other end and actually got some sleep. Lady at reception asked me something like "Come far?" and I was so tired I just said "yes," then she got a bit weird like "oooo..k.... Righto then" like I was an a-hole for not wanting a chat. Sorry for being tired after 20 hours of traveling with no sleep, I guess 🤷 Bathroom flooded when using the shower, had to turn it so far down it wasn't really worth bothering with. At about 6am there was a small electrical explosion outside our room - big white flash and a pop - so not only did we not get to sleep at night, we got woken up in at dawn and we were stuck awake wondering whether the place was going to burn down. At about 8 we tried to have a shower, the power went out 🤦 After something blowing up outside the room we decided not to risk being electrocuted so we just left, half showered and still absolutely exhausted. Worst hotel stay I've had in ages, won't be back.

What an amazing place to stay in Parkes. Close enough to walk to the centre of town where you'll find everything you need - supermarkets, restaurants, takeaways, bakeries and bottle shops. If that's a tad too far there is the bar / restaurant at the motel which srrves food and has a proper happy hour! Rooms are spacious and suitably equipped. Comfiest bed I have ever slept in. Tom is super helpful. Will be back soon.
