Stayed 5 nights for business. King suite room. No kitchenette, with plates and crockery stuck under the bathroom sink. Ancient broken chair to sit at the bench to do some work in the evening. The staff just plain rude. Handed my key when I checked in and with a wave of the hand pointed to where my room was. A smile would have been nice. So noisy night 2 from 1.00 am til 4.00 am with rattling air con in room above. Didn't make up my room day 3 so trash bin overfilled and I just made up my own bed when I arrived back. Dirty bathroom floor. No drawers to put clothes so apparently you're meant to live out of your suitcase. The best thing about it is the pub across the road. Good food and friendly staff

Very convenient location - walking distance to main part of town and ‘Festival of W’… Great, clean rooms.
Staff are awsome! Would definitely come back, pretty cheap too, rooms are nice and everything is pretty close so can walk to places easily.

It’s very tired. The mattresses have the sinking feeling in the middle and need replacing. The heater had a cover missing, it looked mouldy and didn’t really heat. The bathroom needs some updating/love as the door got jammed and would not close properly.
Our room had everything we needed and bed was comfy - would’ve been even better to have a choice of pillow ‘softness’ as they were all the same.
The Prince of Wales had good parking and was close to places to eat. When I walked into the room it smelt like wet dog, not very pleasant. The flooring was very thin vinyl plank which was cold and not nice to walk on. This flooring made the bed roll everytime I sat on the bed or lent against the wall. The bathroom was a great size with a huge shower, but the water pressure and shower nozzle were not very strong. When in the shower every time someone next door turned a tap on I got scolded with very hot water. The fridge was very noisy especially after you opened the door. On my second nights stay, the units on either side of me had dogs in the room. This is when I discovered that The Prince of Wales is a pet friendly motel and would explain the wet dog smell and flooring option. I am allergic to dogs and just the thought of a dog being on the lounge or bed in my motel room is not desirable, so I will not book at this motel again.
