A good, clean, well appointed motel. Our room was comfortable and quiet.

No microwave or toaster. No subtitles on TV.

Great hotel and lovely and friendly staff.

Breakfast was very nice. Many options for bread including gluten free. Variety of fruits and cereals

Hmmmmm All our expectations and needs were met

⸻ I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience at Mercure Echuca. Our group had booked four rooms approximately six months in advance and received formal confirmation at the time. However, while we were already en route—just one hour away after a four-hour journey—we received a phone call from the hotel advising that they had overbooked and could only provide two of the four rooms reserved. We were told they would attempt to source alternative accommodation for the remaining rooms. Given the circumstances and the inconvenience caused, we made our own arrangements elsewhere and declined the reduced booking. This experience reflects a serious lapse in booking management and customer service. To have confirmed accommodation cancelled at such short notice is both unacceptable and highly disruptive. It significantly impacted our travel plans and confidence in the reliability of the hotel. I would strongly encourage the management to review their reservation processes to ensure that other guests are not placed in a similar situation.
