Sonesta Simply Suites Denver West Federal Center

I really enjoyed my stay- the facility was not luxurious, but it was nice enough and safe. The staff was great, the room outstandingly clean, the bed was comfortable, and my favorite thing: an el-shaped desk, so I could work without staring straight into a wall. I will be back!

Dishes dirty and room had a strong smell

the room smells slightly of aircon-fluid from aircon and fridge, towel bar loose, soap dispenser loose, asked the front desk to take care of it, but nothing happend

Overall our stay was fine. This hotel is set up for longer-term stays, which we knew going in, and that was fine. It's not what I would call a super nice hotel, but was priced right and was clean, so those were our priorities. We had to change rooms twice - the first room the bathroom door handle was broken and I was stuck in the bathroom until their maintenance staff (with my help) busted a hole int he door to remove the broken handle. They responded to the issue quickly and the whole deal was probably only 10 minutes. Not a big deal for me, because sometimes stuff just happens. Floor manager was super friendly and very apologetic, and (appropriately) comped our stay for the night. So they moved us to another room, which we settled into only to discover the toilet was clogged. Again, prompt response from staff but they couldn't get it fixed. So, they ultimately moved us to another room (upgrade) and the rest of our stay was fine. The area is OK but not much (restaurants, shops etc) within short walking distance - again not a concern for our stay but fyi. So hard to rate this stay/place. We had some unfortunate odd things happen but staff took care of the issues quickly and appropriately. The manager mentioned that she had only very recently taken over this property and was working to make improvements. 5 stars for her.

Close enough to downtown for what I needed, I like that they have kitchens so I can bring my own food when I staryt for business

Property is a little outdated, but beds were comfy and all the appliances worked well. Shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash were what you would expect for the price. Unfortunately we had hotel staff come into the room while were gone and leave the door open, which we found when we got back. Considering the hotel does not offer safes it was slightly concerning. Front desk staff was very friendly.
