SpringHill Suites by Marriott Waterford / Mystic

Close to the downtown waterfront area. Manager greeting us was so welcoming.

We happily returned to this hotel a handful of times during our son's time at Connecticut College. The staff is always nice. The rooms are always clean. The breakfast has plenty of options daily.

I would not stay here again. Reception was unfriendly. Room was frumpy. Beds looked like a child made them up. Not appealing.

The entire building is hot and humid. The pool hits you when you walk in and the hallways upstairs are musty and hot.

I was very dissatisfied of the dilapidated state of the hotel. The ADA accessible room that I booked for my limited mobility father was not able to accommodate him in the shower. The elevator inspection was outdated and the air circulation was terrible.

The staff was friendly and competent, but the rooms were “worn.” Furniture was old and obviously worn, bathrooms were old. Needs an internal update throughout.

Staff was friendly and efficient. Would stay again.

The rooms are dated, our mobile key did not work upon arrival so had to head back down to the desk. Walls are paper thin - we could hear the person next to us sneezing. The mattress was not comfortable, there was a spider on the ceiling in the bedroom, and there was a long hair on the towels in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was “extensive,” but I wouldn’t eat the food based on the lack of cleanliness of the floor around the buffet. While it looked clean, my shoes were sticking to the floor…gross. We will not be returning to this hotel - Marriott used to be so reliable, but not in this case.
