Woke up with bug bites and dirty room dirty sheets

I made the reservation on booking.com last minute. Went to the hotel 45 min later and they did not have my reservation in the system.Even though I had recieved two emails from the hotel welcoming me. They asked me to wait another hour because sometimes it takes 2 to 3 hours to show up in their system. It was already 11 at night. They had no lobby toward in and said I could wait in my car. Seriously..wait 2 hours just sitting in my car in their parking lot late at night. I went and tried to call booking but they no longer have people to talk to just AI When I gave booking AI my confirmation number that was clearly on my booking confirmation they patched me through twice but no one answered. I let it ring for one hour. I went to the hotel and they would not accept the reservation. I checked my debit card and the 125.00 had already been pulled. I was getting the room because I just landed at an airport that was 3 hours away and the weather was horrific. I didn't want to pay more so I took my chances driving home now at 100 am in the morning. When I contacted Booking the next day the AI said my confirmation number was not correct. It didn't have enough digits. I gave the same number I had given the night before and that was clearly on my confirmation form. Since it wouldn't except my number it would hang up and I was never able to speak to a person. Apparently the hotel finally got my reservation but instead of it being the 7 checking out the 8th. They started sending me welcome emails to stay on the 8th and check out on the 9th! I contacted them and sent documentation of my orginal reservation and said I was already charged for the 7th. They responded they had no information on that charge..even though I sent my bank card showing it was charged and the only reservation they had was for the 8th checking out the 9th. They even said oh maybe because it finally went through after mindnight..even though I made the reservation on booking at 930 pm on the 7th.

Very comfortable room! Very uncluttered -- lots of room to unpack toiletries and great work space. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Lots of parking right outside the front door. Staff was welcoming and accommodating.

Neighborhood is pretty blah, but I had a rental car. TV didn't have streaming services that I could log into (but there was a note saying that management was changing, and TV service might be affected).

One suite the AC wasn’t getting cold in room 103 but hotel desk clerk accommodated and moved me into another one
