Nothing. The treatment I received was very bad‼️‼️

22 September 2023 - I was called at 14:36 on the day of checking to be told that the room I booked (paid 31st of August) was apparently double booked and I am unable to stay with my family. *before I paid I called them and confirmed if they had space for me and my family and she confirmed that I can book* On Thursday 21 September 2023 day before I called to confirm my booking & check-in time and I was assured that all is well. When I get there I was told to go to another place which costed (R900) way less than what I had paid and no refund of the difference was given to me. How do you cancel my booking 30 mins after checking in time and take me to a cheaper place and not give me my money back. I was really disappointed and upset with their treatment.

Only liked location and beds

The property needs a complete refitting. Water system is leaking everywhere especially in the bathroom. Light is so dim that is impossible to see well at night. Not enough forks and cutlery for four people (and very old ones). Only two chairs available so half of us had to eat standing up, only two towels available (we were four and the apartment is for four people), no soap available. EDIT: The owner in her reply wrote a lot of rubbish (really shows the character of the owner/manager), we are a relatively young family with two children and we have no problems doing long walks (or climbing BTW) and the loadshedding was miniminal (just two hours). The light problem was due to the really cheap light bulbs installed NOT the loadshedding (the electricity was available!); the leaking in the bathroom was due to LOW MAINTENANCE of the water piping; THERE WAS NO UPGRADE, we were given exactly what we booked! I gave very good reviews to all the other places I stayed in South Africa, this place is really overpriced for the low maintenance of the owner/manager, hence the very low review to warn the other travellers and push the owner to spend some money on maintenance.

Location was perfect on our way back from Kruger to Pretoria. Esmari was very considerate, as I was feeling sick. She gave me a bigger room nearer to the parking, which I really appreciated.

Location is excellent. WIFI was good and strong.

Reception not available in early morning Room 4 Microwave had previously burnt food and stank of burning. Bedspreads had muddy dog paw marks on them. Begs the question, of when last were they washed? Curtain was not hanging correctly in spare bedroom. Surely that can be seen and corrected. Room 2 TV is not connected and does not look like it ever was. Lots of dust on unit. Wash basin in bathroom drain was blocked. Was attended to when complained about. Light on top of TV cabinet not working.

The onsite bar was great. Wynand and Esmari were fabulous hosts and went the extra mile to make our stay a memorable one.
