Sonesta Simply Suites Pittsburgh Airport

The nice young lady that checked me in was awesome. I wish I could say the same for the woman at the desk when it was check out time. I stayed on the second floor and there was a smell in the hallway.

No breakfast. Wifi wasn't constant. Staff, when they would show up, were somewhat helpful. The bed was very comfortable, room was spacious. Location having many stores nearby was convenient.

I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. It was not the normal pleasant sonesta brand standards. The entire place was dirty, dated, smelled, had so many drug addicts, dealers, prostitutes, homeless, all throughout the hotel. You could not walk 5 feet without either hearing an argument in the hallway, violence within a room, seeing someone on drugs, or seeing a drug deal happening. There were several times at 3am someone was trying to get into our room, loud running in the hallway. And the cleanliness of the bathroom was disgusting. I had to scrub the shower myself. The laundry area had men in there that were cracked out and sleeping all around the room. I feel my safety was compromised. Also, the police were there one of the nights doing an investigation. I feel my stay should have been refunded at least one night if not the whole trip. Terrible experience but it was too late to change hotels. I alerted the staff a few times but it seems as they did not care because nothing changed.

After calling the front desk repeatedly and waiting 45 minutes for van pickup that never showed, i had to pay $35 for an uber

I like the facilities i don’t give them a 5 stars because I found roaches in the bathroom sink and in the kitchen sink besides that looks clean the elevator have bad smell customer service was ok you have to scream at them to come out to the front desk they never there always in the back parking lot was good kitchen have all you need to prepare a meal towels very white and clean bed clean house size refrigerator dishwasher machine stove very clean they supply the dishwasher soap plates and utensils they just need pest control more often I guess besides that the location is good you can even order Walmart or target delivery to your room door .
