Hampton Inn Plymouth Meeting

Overall quite a good experience. The room was clean, fairly quiet (facing away from the interstate), updated bathroom in good shape, room fixtures and carpet not too old, bed and linen were great, hvac unit working. The lobby could use a thorough cleaning of floors, walls and glass windows. One elevator was broken, and the other needed cleaning and new walls/doors. The breakfast was mostly good, could use more fruits (whole apples and oranges provided), the oatmeal was not hot, the bacon overcooked. Overall these are minor complaints, my experience was good especially for the price, which is less than most other choices in the area.

Dirty, smelled, no ac is common areas, cockroaches found in beds. Complaints were made, but since the general manager was unavailable over the weekend, I had to rely on emails for my complaint and refund. She was unresponsive to emails and phone calls. I am still fighting to be heard and be refunded for unacceptable accommodations, which resulted in the cancelation of my stay.

I have lost count of the number of times we have stayed at this hotel over the past 15 years. Let’s say at least 10 times. It used to be a great value for your money. The rooms were dependably clean, pretty good breakfast and helpful staff. We checked in on October 17 intending to stay until October 22. However, the room which was next to the highway was so noisy that we didn’t sleep all night. We tried to move immediately, but there were no available rooms. By the next day, we were desperate for sleep and they couldn’t guarantee us being able to move so we changed hotels. The primary problem was the noise, but also the room was not very clean especially the bathroom floor. Additionally, one of the two elevators was broken and had been broken for several weeks based on past reviews we recall a prior stay a few years ago, where it was also broken. It seems like Hilton has just given up on their properties. We also had problems at Homewood suites, which I have reviewed separately. Again, the staff was perfectly nice, but made no effort to compensate us for the inconvenience. To be fair, we did not ask for any compensation. We were just relieved to be out of that situation. This is an area that we will probably visit many times in the future as we have family in the area, but we will not be staying here again.

Big parking and shopping center on the other side of street. The room was clean and nice. Breakfast was sufficient. Staff was nice.

I called the property before booking and was told the pool was open. I drove 5 hours the same day with a toddler excited for the pool only to find out it was closed for the season. I left a review for the hotel over one month ago, requesting a follow up call and never received one.

Room and breakfast were great.

Staff was not personable. Woman who checked us in acted as if I disturbed her & she did not answer a call to front desk. Gave no info unless specifically asked. Outside needs refreshing.

The hotel ran my card before I got there. When I made the reservation it said I would pay at the hotel. My bank card expired after booking, so I would using a different card. They did not want to honor the reservation. Check in was at 3pm and cancelled my reservation at 3:26pm. They told me to make new reservations on the website and would not honor the price.
