"Nice view over union terrace gardens"

Great location. Listed building so no double glazing, which means we could hear ppl screaming as well as the traffic noise on Union Terrace. Lovely breakfast.

"Old and worn!"

It is in a good area for theatre!

The floors were uneven, the carpets were worn and needed cleaned! Couldnt open a window in bathroom or bedroom! Old fashioned and needs upgraded! For a Mercure hotel, it was dissapointing!

"Good accommodation at a value price."

Our room was very clean including bedding and toilet. The food in the lounge area was very good as was the breakfast. A good choice of breakfast.

Was told that we could not order a glass of red house wine but could order a glass of named wine. Seems an odd idea. Also the coffee machine was out of order so the coffee choice was very limited.

"Excellent value, good location"

I stayed for one night on my own. The hotel is very well located and I wanted quick and easy access to the railway station. I booked a single room and breakfast - and it was an extremely good deal. When I checked in, I was upgraded to a double room. My room was of a good size and the shower worked well. It was very clean and I had a comfortable bed. I was surprised by the buffet breakfast - it was excellent, both for hot and cold food. The hotel is ‘tired’ but it is welcoming, fully equipped, and really excellent value. I recommend it and I’d go there again.
