Comfort Inn Meadowlands

Breakfast was very good. This was one of the reasons the score was higher. The rooms are a little dated with bathrooms needing a little cosmetic work and the hallways ceiling are really bad in some areas. But the employees and breakfast were what made us enjoy our stay.

Horrible experience - stay away. Hotel is worn. Stains on floors, smells, rusty door frames, worn out beds and furniture. Breakfast is absolute bare minimum contenential.. waffle maker and cereal.. that's it. No daily housekeeping.. ok, but when asked for replacement towels they had none. When the towel rack fell off the wall, they had no maintenance people. Asked to be moved to another room, 'the computer is down' so they couldn't. Another day, ask for towels again, no towels available. Even the staff was bad mouthing ownership for not having what they needed. Staff not at desk - have to ring for them. Just stay away - there are tons of other properties within a half mile of this place.

Do not stay here. As soon as you walk into the lobby, you can smell the chlorine from the pool down the hall. The staff is friendly but there is only one person for the whole hotel to service you. The hallways are dated with peeling wallpaper and sticky carpeting. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. You would not know it was the same hotel from the hall into the room. The pool air had so much chlorine in it, our eyes hurt for days. The plastic tables in the pool area had rust stains and burns. The ceiling tiles in the pool area were warped and looking like they could fall. The glass was steamed over and you could not see out and the doors did not work. The breakfast area was clean and the breakfast food was fine. The staff is amazing for what they have to work with.

One of beds broken and my husband almost fell onto floor. Could be cleaner.

All aspects of the property were filthy dirty - lobby, room. Pool area. Pool towel that was provided by front desk had black stains on it (which they said was from getting stuck in the conveyor belt?)
