Comfort Inn Meadowlands

Customer Service was great, it was clean and quiet. Needs major updating.

Second time booking here and front desk was courteous and helpful ( especially have me a pick of rooms due to the elevator was down- which they fixed later that night) Cleanliness was very good, the bathroom walls looked a little dingy with some stains on it, it was a small detail. I appreciated their cleaning of their ice machine ( that is a sticking point with most hotels I've stayed in). Parking some nights is difficult due to lack of space but love the convenience of being near the highway and to major shopping and dining locations. Back to the location near the highway- even tho it close to I-79, you hardly heard any noise from the highway or even from the adjacent roadway. I would definitely book with them again in the future.

The hotel overall was nice and fairly clean. The ashtrays and area outside were dirty with beer cans and cigarette butts. I didn't see any staff except for the girl that checked us in. The pool area was atrocious. There's green mold around the bottom of the walls and the top of the pool above the water had a film on it. The emergency exit doors also had green mold on it and they were all rusty. The whole ceiling was Rusty and look like it was going to fall in. Needs a lot of maintenance work. The manager should have someone clean a lot better.

The staff were all extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Breakfast was fresh and even done early.

Room smelled like smoke and just musty. Pool area had mold everywhere and ceiling was falling in several places. The carpets were dirty, bed was VERY uncomfortable.
