The property was so unkept wallpaper cracking and in parts broken. The floor boards creaked underfoot but worse was the room above theirs sounded as if the occupants were at times coming through. Breakfast was okay but missing was a cereal besides Cocopops!

See above and when we arrived nobody asked how we had arrived did we park in their park, I dropped off, parked and found out 3 hours later they had their own so spent £12 on parking!!!

Zeer vriendelijk personeel. De dame bij de receptie Nico heeft ons bijzonder vriendelijk geholpen. We konden eerder onze kamer in. Het is een gebouw met één lange geschiedenis en prachtige authentieke details.

The room was lovely and clean also so was the property, breakfast was lovely too

I know that this isn’t the property’s fault as the property has been there for a very long time, but there noisy pubs opposite alright if your hard of hearing, maybe some double glazing will sort that out on the inside!

The location was perfect. The staff also perfect and couldn’t do enough for us. My wife and I landed at an Airbnb an hour before booking at the County. The Airbnb was not hygienic in any way. The County accepted our booking at short notice and the whole stay was perfect. Every time we trip to Carlisle the county hotel will be our first choice

Loud pubs & clubs in the area until early hours but that’s a small price to pay in our case
