"Practical Hotel in Kyoto"

Left this hotel without the feeling of warmth we had from other hotels we visited on our trip to Japan. The welcome and check out experience we had was very cold, unlike the other hospitality we had experienced elsewhere on our trip. The room was fine, although felt a little dated. Location wise again was fine, not too far from a couple of stations or within reasonable walking distance to the main Kyoto streets. The area around the hotel is quiet as well. On the plus side, the complimentary shuttle service to Kyoto station and the newspaper each morning were nice touches.

"Magnificient Hotel and service, location not the best"

The Hotel is superb, nice rooms, good amenities and bathroom, very clean, service a 10, 4 restaurants on site, very helpful staff, massages on the bottom floor 10. Breakfast fantastic, great value. We just did not like the location, eventhough is in front of Nijo Castle, there is no place to walk at night, so once in the Hotel, you have to at at one of their four restaurants. Next time we will stay closer to the center as we love to walk at night and eat in different restaurants close to the hotel Hotel is a 10 Service 10 Restaurants 10 Breakfast 10 Massages 10 Location 6
