"Beautiful memories"

The lobby is spacious and quiet, the staff are very polite and attentive. The room is comfortable and new, very clean, the area around the hotel is also very peaceful, near the metro.. a very friendly European staff (unfortunately I forgot to ask his name), he is almost an hotel ambassador, he did all the work to support guests in the lobby, he is very enthusiastic in helping with directions to the tourist attractions, he provided water when he saw that we looked very tired after a day of wandering around the streets...:). We really appreciate this. Thank you and I do hope to come back here again!

Very dated property. Charging for the pool was very rude. Extremely expensive breakfast and limited dining in bar. Generally good spot however and nice to have traditional rooms albeit smelt of mould slightly. Staff were lovely.

"Wonderful hotel"

This hotel is about 400 mts from Karasuma Oike subway station. The hotel provides free shuttle between Kyoto train station & the hotel at 5-6 specific times during the day, which is very useful, because for most tourist places in & outside of Kyoto, including Shinkansen to Tokyo, there is train connectivity from Kyoto station. So, availability of shuttle makes the travel a breeze. There's good variety of breakfast options. And there are 5 in-house restaurants serving different cuisines for lunch & dinner. We dined at Shokko restaurant for 3 dinners & loved the veg options. The hotel has a lovely royal ambience & an amazing staff. Would love to be back :)
