"Disappointing"

Great location

There was renovation work going on that was not told to us when booking or before arrival. We were woken very early on our first morning there with banging, drilling and shouting from the work men. When I complained at reception I was just given an apology. When we returned later that day posters had been put around the hotel explaining the noise

"Convenient but overpriced and disturbed by loud building work."

It was convenient for our trip

There were building work happening that we weren’t warned about before. Drilling and loud banging started at 8am and continued through the day on Saturday. We were told it wouldn’t happen on Sunday only to be woken up by loud banging and drilling again. At £380 room only for Fri and Sat with no warning of building work I feel it was overpriced and I would have booked elsewhere.

"Be prepared to climb the very high beds"

Spacious room, clean and well presented, Good breakfast with plenty of variety - great location for International centre - 5 min walk away and just a little further a good selection of eateries to choose from

Bed too high, very difficult to get in an out of unless you are 6ft tall - if you have any sort of disability this may cause a problem - will take a step next stay as asked reception and all rooms have this height of bed

"Comfortable and well placed for the local sites of interest."

The room was very comfortable though for some reason we were given a room that had a bathroom for the disabled. It had a wetroom and emergency red pull cords - we may be 74 but we are still fit and healthy so that was a bit odd. The staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful without being overbearing and the food was - well just wonderful. The hotel was well placed for our purposes which was to visit Ironbridge, Attringham and the priory at Much Wenlock and Wroxeter.

We might have preferred a normal bathroom......
