Wyndham Fort Smith City Center

The day before arrival, the receptionist called with another problem: the pool water pump had gone out on top of the elevator, which had been out of service for a month now. Once in our room, there was mold and crumbling sheetrock in my room, along with the silicone molding that goes around the window, falling off. We had breakfast vouchers for both mornings. When we arrived at the lobby Saturday morning (in a hurry bc we were there for an event), we were surprised that there was no buffet; it was ordered. The waitress was very nice, but we were completely unaware of the time to order breakfast.

The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious,, centrally located, and the staff was friendly.. the room was nicely decorated and the pool has a nice sitting area

Room was not cleaned daily no trash removed or towels unless requested. No fridge in the room but was able to pay a one time charge to get one. The shower took a long time to get hot water, sink was small and splashes water on the counter.

Old hotel that could use a “refresh.” One of the elevators was inoperable during my stay which meant I spent some time negotiating eight flights of stairs. With a full backpack on day I registered! No where to park on day of arrival. Hotel was apparently fully booked. Garage was available across the street, but I had to park a couple of blocks away, then walk to the register before getting access code to garage.

Nice hotel. Conveniently attached to convention center. Service for our conference was excellent. Only reason for 4 stars was that one elevator was out of service making for long waits.
