Clarion Inn Salt Lake City Airport

Easy to find off the freeway. Close to the airport. Room was setup nice with wood/laminate floors and was clean. Water pressure was good and shower was hot.

Stayed for 3 nights and had to go to the front desk everyday to have my room key reset. Pool was green with algae so was not an option. There was approximately a 1” gap under the main door to my room which let in light/noise etc. found what appeared to be some sort or water bug (not sure) in the bathtub. It was able to make it into the entry way before I could kill it. Window AC/heat unit could be noisy when turning on making constant volume adjustments on the TV necessary when watching something.

Close to airport. Less expensive than other lodging.

Breakfast was mediocre. Property was worn down, it looks like the last remodel was in the 80s.

The communication among staff needs work. The first room we were assigned was not clean so we had to go back to the front desk to get a new room.

Overall, most of the staff was friendly. The air conditioning/heating unit responded quickly to changes in the settings (but it was noisy).

Maids were not friendly and did not clean the room according to the rules posted (once every three days). Three days in a row, my card key did not work in my door, and I had to go all the way back to the front desk to get it reset. No accommodation or credit was made for this problem. I saw one rather large beetle in my room. The phones did not work and, after reporting, were never fixed. The fan in the bathroom was very noisy and didn't seem to be working properly. Some of the furniture in the room was extremely worn.

We were given our key. Went to our room and there was a man in the room. Very scary !!! Room was in horrible condition
