Red Lion Hotel & Conference Center Cheyenne

The room itself was nice, comfortable and clean. breakfast buffet had only small selection - no meat or fruit - only cereal, eggs, potatoes or french toast. Hotel was undergoing renovations in lobby and aisle way. Biggest complaint was very slow check in. We arrived 40 minutes early and would not let us check in - came back an hour later and it took us 40 minutes to check in - long line and long process.

Currently in renovations. Rooms were very nice, it will be nice when the halls, elevators, lobby, and common spaces are brought to the same level. 3/5 stars until they do.

The property was under construction. A lot of dust in the lobby/restaurant area. And some areas in the hallways needed some work. Staff was great. Once they finish their construction, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

My semi truck broke down in Cheyenne and this hotel was pointed out to me by the service center. They had a decent rate for CDL holders. Free shuttle to get me to the hotel. That was the end of the good. The hotel is in the middle of a remodel. My room had been redone already but I think that they left the chair from prior to the remodel in there as it was old, worn out and didn't match the decor. I was put right next to a stairwell as far from the front desk as possible. People were coming and going all day and night. Made me question what was going on in some of those rooms. The lobby was partially closed and you had to walk around to get to the front desk area which made it impossible for delivery of food to my room directly. (Yeah, it might sound like a weak complaint but try living in a hotel room for a week without a ride anywhere. Not fun.) The shower was awful. A new tub that curved upwards on both sides which left a flat spot in the middle to stand in only 6 inches wide. Nice. And then there was the room service.....or lack thereof. There was a card in the bathroom that they only attend to your room IF you are staying for more than 4 days. Anything you need before then, you have to specifically ask for. I checked in on a Thursday. Asked for fresh towels and the trash to be taken out on Sunday. The next Wednesday, I finally got the clean towels and the bathroom cleaned. The mountain of food boxes, which covered a 3 foot by 18 inch counter area, was left still. As of checkout at 10AM Thursday, the trash was still there. Might be still 36 hours later but I'm at home now so I don't care. This hotel was not much better than a jail cell. I will never stay there again despite the CDL rate. I've been in hotels that had pay by the hour rooms that were nicer. And to think that they had a convention in there while they were remodeling. I would've been ticked off if I was the convention organizer.

The room was fine but the rest of the place was kind of old and run down. I wasn't impressed. Wouldn't ever stay there again. It was also very noisy as it's right next to I-80.

The sheets were very scratchy and itchy. Perhaps it's what's they are cleaned in? The front desk was super helpful and changed my room after I asked for a different one. I was very grateful for their help! The breakfast was great!
